- Eat a balanced diet: A healthy diet is essential for a healthy pregnancy. “Make sure to eat a variety of foods from all the major food groups, including fruits and vegetables, whole grains, lean protein, and healthy fats,” Avoid processed foods, sugary drinks, and excessive amounts of caffeine.”
- Stay active: Regular exercise can help you maintain a healthy weight, reduce stress, and improve your overall health during pregnancy. “Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise most days of the week, with your doctor’s approval,” advises Dr. Khaldeya Arja.
- Get enough sleep: Getting enough sleep is essential for your physical and mental health during pregnancy. “Aim for at least seven to eight hours of sleep each night and establish a regular sleep routine to help you get the rest you need,” says Dr.Khaldeya Arja.
- Attend prenatal appointments: Regular prenatal care is essential for a healthy pregnancy. “Attend all scheduled appointments with your healthcare provider and communicate any concerns or issues you may have,” advises Dr. Khaldeya Arja.
- Manage stress: Pregnancy can be a stressful time, but managing stress is essential for your health and the health of your baby. “Take time to relax and engage in activities that you enjoy, such as meditation, yoga, or reading,”.
